Trillium Payment Dates 2024
Payments are usually issued monthly on the 10th of each month, except for weekends and holidays. However, you can also choose to receive a lump sum payment at the end of the benefit year (June 10, 2024) if your annual entitlement is over $360.
The Ontario Trillium Benefit combines the following three credits to help pay for energy costs as well as sales and property tax:

- Ontario Sales Tax Credit

How the benefit is paid ?
If you receive your income tax refund by direct deposit, you will receive your Ontario Trillium Benefit payment(s) by direct deposit.
If you do not receive your tax refund by direct deposit, you will receive your Ontario Trillium Benefit payments by mail on the 10th of each month, starting in July (for example, if you file your income tax by April 30, you can start receiving your benefit payments in July).
How to Apply for OTB Payments?
You don’t need to apply separately for the OTB. You only need to file your income tax return and claim the Ontario credits you’re eligible for.
